Kaiser Permanente is in search of a Senior Registered Nurse (RN) for Outpatient Surgical Services in Salem, Oregon.

Role Summary:

The RN plays a vital role as part of the healthcare team, delivering exceptional health services to patients, which aligns with Kaiser Permanente's mission, vision, and values. The RN offers a range of nursing services both in-person and via telecommunication, employing the nursing process and leadership abilities to address the acute and chronic needs of Health Plan members and other patients within the Kaiser Permanente Health Care Program. The RN operates under the general supervision of the designated supervisor.

Basic Qualifications: Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in acute care or outpatient clinic settings within the last five (5) years.
  • Two (2) years of experience in an inpatient or outpatient surgical operating room within the past five years.
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
  • Basic Life Support Certification
Additional Requirements:
  • Demonstrates clinical nursing and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient typing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn new information systems.
  • Customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in population care/case management, triage, and advice.
  • Current or future bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
  • Experience in operating room settings, preferred.
  • Relevant certifications, preferred.
