Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team at West Virginia University Hospitals. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare professionals by accurately documenting patient information and medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately document patient information and medical records in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist healthcare professionals with clinical documentation and data entry
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate and complete patient records
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • West Virginia state criminal background check required, and Federal, if applicable, for DHHR BMS regulated area
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and computer applications
