Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Coil Line Operator to join our team at McNeilus Companies Inc. As a Coil Line Operator, you will be responsible for regulating the production of coil line products, operating coil line machines, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Control and operate machine through computerized controls to set speed, length, and number of sheets per batch.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and make adjustments to ensure proper flattening of product and stacking of material.
  • Preparation and Shipping: Prepare material for shipping by tagging, banding, and painting outgoing shipments.
  • Work Order Management: Prepare work order for all coil line products and enter information on computer.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform general repairs and maintenance for coil line machines.
  • Material Handling: Operate crane and forklift skillfully and safely.
  • Compliance and Safety: Learn, understand, and comply with OSHA requirements, company safety rules, and health policies at all times.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Be able to read and understand material specifications on order tickets.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of steel products preferred, and experience with forklift and/or crane operation.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, and communicate in fluent English.
