Auditory Care Specialist

**About the Job:**
We are seeking an experienced Auditory Care Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our audiology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering excellent healthcare services.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with hearing, balance, and related disorders. Your expertise will include evaluating patients' audiologic function, interpreting findings, and reviewing test results with patients or responsible adults. You will also document patients' case history, test results, and recommendations for follow-up in the medical record and report results and recommendations to referring physicians and/or primary care physicians.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Evaluating patients' hearing status and developing personalized treatment plans
- Performing and interpreting electro physiologic and special tests of the peripheral and central auditory system
- Counseling patients about treatment options for hearing loss and referral to ear, nose, and throat departments when appropriate
- Educating patients about hearing conservation and vestibular rehabilitation exercises
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Au.D. degree or Master's degree in audiology with minimum four years of experience
- National Provider Identifier and Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
- PECOS Enrollment within three months of hire
