The Leasing Consultant serves as the sales representative for the community, engaging with both prospective and current residents on behalf of FPI. Responsibilities include facilitating property tours, providing accurate information about available apartment homes, processing rental applications, securing lease agreements from qualified applicants, and assisting with lease renewals as necessary.

This role demands adherence to Fair Housing Laws and company policies while striving to meet client expectations in alignment with the financial operating budget and management agreement.

Compensation: $20 - $22 / Hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relations: Uphold the philosophies and directives of the Owner in daily operations to ensure FPI meets client objectives.
  • Communication: Foster positive and professional communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests while representing FPI.
  • Leasing and Occupancy: Maintain occupancy levels as per owner/budget expectations, utilize professional leasing techniques, assist with market surveys, and contribute to advertising strategies.
  • Reporting and Document Management: Maintain accurate resident files and ensure confidentiality, while keeping documentation organized and up-to-date.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Risk Management protocols and report any incidents promptly.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist residents in reporting maintenance issues and ensure timely follow-up on requests.
  • Other Duties: Enforce community rules consistently, comply with Fair Housing Laws, and maintain a professional image in all interactions.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Familiarity with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC and HUD programs is essential. A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is required, preferably in Residential Property Management. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, while a college degree in a related field is preferred.

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and current motor vehicle insurance. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary, along with strong computer skills including MS Office and property management software.
