Marketing Communications Director

At Boston MedFlight, we are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Communications Director to join our team. This is a full-time, exempt position that will play a critical role in ensuring cohesive positioning of our brand to drive awareness, interest, and philanthropic support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote our brand visibility and reputation in support of corporate outreach and targeted Development/fundraising efforts.
- Develop and manage all print materials, including annual reports, annual appeals, special events, and corporate/executive presentations, to drive awareness and enthusiasm for our organization and its mission.
- Ensure that all company materials have consistent and positive messaging and branding.
- Develop social media strategies that drive and enhance our presence and expand and engage our existing social media audience.
- Develop relationships with media and other platforms to optimize marketing communications.
- Collaborate with our external outreach efforts and messaging to ensure cohesion amongst internal departments and programs.
- Increase awareness of Boston MedFlight as a non-profit entity to support Development/fundraising efforts.
- Set and drive the company's media and public relations strategy in partnership with an external communications firm.
- Manage crisis communications in coordination with an external communications firm.
- Collaborate with our senior leadership team to develop and implement creative marketing strategies that will support organizational needs.
- Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor's marketing movements.
- Control budget and allocate resources amongst projects.
- Model compliance with our core values at all times.
- Possess professional behavior and appearance at all times in representing the company outwardly.
- Attend and assist all Boston MedFlight sponsored events as required.
- Research and evaluate advertising opportunities in various mediums, recommend direction and placement; develop messaging for appropriate audiences.
Requirements:
- BS degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience required.
- Four+ years' experience managing the marketing needs and internal/external communications for an organization.
- A minimum of three years of graphic design experience in a professional setting.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
- Understanding of and ability to articulate agency mission and the voice of agency leaders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effectively persuade audiences.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.
- Experience developing and managing budgets and staff.
- Ability to think strategically about organization's communications needs in general as well as in the context of a major fundraising campaign.
- Must be flexible and responsive to the urgency of a situation.
- Attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Crisis management experience a plus.
- MS Office, publication and/or graphic software, website management experience, and social media familiarity required.
- Flexibility to work varied hours for events and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel to BMF sites and other locations as required, with the ability occasionally work nights and weekends.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language without restriction.
- Unrestricted travel.
- Massachusetts CORI and FBI background checks will be performed prior to employment.
- Valid driver's license required.
