As a Senior Analytical Laboratory Specialist at our Research and Technology Center in Kingwood, Texas, you will work closely with chemists, engineers, and analytical personnel to execute safe operations of analytical laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, provide technical services, and maintain lab equipment.



This detail-oriented role requires a strong commitment to safety, good analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to complete assigned projects in a safe and timely manner. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with team members to meet business needs and comply with all health, safety, and environmental practices and policies.



Responsibilities


  • Conduct analytical testing to support Chevron Phillips business lines and production facilities, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Follow established quality, safety, and environmental procedures and policies.
  • Maintain and operate lab instruments and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Work collaboratively with chemists, engineers, analytical personnel, and customers to meet business needs.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental practices and policies.


Requirements


  • High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of laboratory experience.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to complete assigned projects in a safe and timely manner.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to complete work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time on concrete flooring, bending, stooping, and other physical tasks.


Estimated salary range for this role in Kingwood, Texas is between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
