Job Summary

Vincennes University is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach English courses on a part-time basis. The College of Humanities is accepting applications for instructors to teach a variety of English courses, including Integrated Reading & Writing, English Composition, and other related courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English courses to students at Vincennes University
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of English programs
Requirements
  • Master's degree in English or a related field (English, Literature, Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, Creative Writing, English Education, Liberal Studies with an emphasis in English or Literature)
  • May hold a Master's degree in another area but must have completed a minimum of 18 graduate hours in English or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching English courses at the college level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
