Vincennes University is seeking a qualified Physics Adjunct Faculty member to teach lectures and/or labs within the Department of Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in physics and engineering, with the ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels.

Responsibilities
  • Teach physics lectures and/or labs, including courses in Technical Physics and General Physics.
  • Assist full-time faculty with lab setup as needed.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in Physics/Engineering or Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in Physics/Engineering related coursework for teaching lectures.
  • Bachelors degree in Physics/Engineering with 12 hours of coursework for teaching labs.
Additional Qualifications
  • Knowledge of algebra-based physics.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and administration.

While part-time employees are not eligible for the University's benefit plan, there are certain required taxes that will be deducted from part-time employees' pay in order for the University to remain compliant with state and federal laws.
