Job Overview

The Human Resources Representative plays a crucial role in the Human Resources Department by executing a variety of confidential, administrative, and clerical tasks that support the overall functionality of the HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence to HR policies while complying with collective bargaining agreements.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing employee inquiries and requests.
  3. Organize and maintain new employee documentation, including routine filing, scanning, and archiving to comply with record retention standards.
  4. Safeguard employee records to maintain confidentiality.
  5. Facilitate the recruitment and hiring process by coordinating interviews, preparing application materials, conducting reference checks, and maintaining applicant records.
  6. Assist in conducting pre-employment background checks, physical examinations, and drug screenings.
  7. Support payroll administration as needed.
  8. Serve as a backup for employee orientation and mandatory training sessions.
  9. Assist in managing employee benefits, including collecting and submitting necessary information for health, dental, life, and disability insurance.
  10. Contribute to company-wide meetings regarding benefits enrollment and organizational changes.
  11. Participate in record audits and prepare mandatory reports.
  12. Complete special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Fluency in Spanish.
  2. Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  3. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  4. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  5. Proficient time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources-related role.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Familiarity with personnel policies and procedures.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  3. Ability to navigate various departments within the organization.
