Job Overview

Hoyle Tanner is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Ground Transportation Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions to our clients while enhancing the communities we serve.

This is a hybrid remote position opportunity, allowing you to work from one of our offices in Portsmouth, NH, Manchester, NH, Burlington, VT, or Chelmsford, MA. We offer a flexible schedule and remote work options, as well as a lucrative sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide junior engineers and CADD teammates in the preparation of calculations, layouts, estimates, and specifications.
  • Develop an understanding of project budget, scope of services, project development, and project schedule.
  • Provide updates and recommendations to the Project Manager in maintaining schedule and budget.
  • Assist in proposal efforts and development.
  • Conduct site visits and participate in or lead meetings with clients/contractors.
  • Demonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills for deliverables, proposals, and presentations.
Requirements
  • BSCE Degree required, MSCE preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Current PE in NH, MA, ME, or VT.
  • Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans, or MassDOT highway projects.
  • Proficient in Microstation, AutoCAD, HydroCAD, Civil 3D, ArcView, In Roads, WORD, Excel, and MS Project.
