Position Overview

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join the Kvon Lab in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology. The successful candidate will work on several projects aimed at understanding mammalian enhancer regulation in the context of the 3D genome, human congenital disorders, and mammalian evolution.

Key Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Scholar will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research using mouse transgenesis and genome editing techniques, as well as genomic technologies such as Hi-C and multiome and scRNA-seq. A strong background in analyzing sequencing data in any model system is preferred but not required. The candidate will also contribute to the development of leadership and teaching skills, career development, and full benefits provided by UCI.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and a strong track record of research experience. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for this position. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong commitment to mentorship and career development.
