Transportation Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Systems Engineer to join our team at Coastal Ecology Group, Llc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing transportation systems that connect communities and promote sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct work on transportation projects, including traffic operations and safety, roadway design, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental analysis.
  • Manage the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications for major and minor projects.
  • Participate in contract bidding and administration, as needed.
  • Supervise and observe the design and ongoing progress of projects, including coordination with City, State, and County officials and other outside agencies.
  • Supervise the work of less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the transportation industry, preferably in Tennessee.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of software systems, including HCS, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, CORSIM, VISSIM, CUBE, TransCAD, Microstation, and Microsoft Office.
