We are seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to join our elite team of engineers and architects. This key member of the AAC Leadership Team will be responsible for ensuring deliverable quality and mentoring engineers across all AAC business areas.

The successful candidate will:

  • Review deliverables for quality prior to submission to customers.
  • Demonstrate expertise in requirements management, reliability, availability, and maintainability assessments.
  • Lead and mentor other engineers and architects across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrate expertise in DOE O 413.3B, Phase Six, or DODD Acquisition Lifecycle processes.

This position may be performed remotely from anywhere in the continental US, with preferred locations within commuting distance of Oak Ridge, TN, Aiken, SC, or Amarillo, TX.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering Discipline.
  • US citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
  • Expert interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience managing acquisitions programs with DOD or DOE acquisition lifecycles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and Engineering Logistics disciplines.
  • Available to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • 15+ years of prior work experience showing progressively increasing responsibility.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering.
  • Prior experience within National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) laboratories and sites.
  • Familiarity with requirements tools such as IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation and simulation packages.
  • Professional Engineering License.
