Electrical Control Systems Engineer

DSJ Global is seeking a skilled Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity offers a chance to execute engineering tasks related to electrical control systems for various projects and plant operations with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and assess technical specifications for electrical equipment and process initiatives.
  • Support the Corporate Electrical Team in reviewing and implementing company standards and guidelines.
  • Aid manufacturing operations by enforcing electrical safety protocols and initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed successfully and on schedule.
  • Verify adherence to technical specifications and contractual obligations for equipment and services within plant maintenance and project activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with management and stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and adjustments.
  • Coordinate and supervise supplier and contractor work related to plant support and projects, including commissioning, start up, and staff training.
  • Oversee project budgets, time lines, scopes, and deliverables, ensuring the project meets organisational objectives.
  • Manage external engineering resources and consultants as necessary to support project needs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of electrical and controls experience
  • BS in Electrical Engineering - required
  • Experienced in heavy industrial environment (building materials, pulp/paper and chemicals - preferred)
  • Proficiency with PLC troubleshooting and programming
