Patient Care Support Professional

The Patient Care Support Professional will perform various duties to support patient care, including environmental, dietary, and transportation activities. This role will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provide administrative/clerical support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Support patient care team members with activities such as direct patient care, patient transfers, and supplies acquisition and distribution.
- Assist patients with menu completion, review diet choices, and deliver menus to the dietary office.
- Communicate diet changes and patient discharges/transfers to the dietary office.
- Prepare patients and environments for meals, pass trays, and assist with meals as needed.
- Transport patients throughout the hospital as directed, including lifting and assisting patients.
- Perform supply acquisition and distribution on-unit as needed, and distribute clean linen and collect dirty linen.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Three to five years of experience in the field or profession preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- BLS required within three months of hire.
Minimum 24 hours per month, with a variable schedule as a Per Diem (PRN) employee.
