Overview:


The Akron Children's hospital is seeking a skilled Nursing Care Professional to join our team. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Job Summary:


Provide nursing care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities:



  • Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to other staff members, emphasizing a collaborative team approach to deliver quality service to patients and their families.
  • Utilize strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure effective collaboration and communication with the healthcare team.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills, fostering a positive and supportive environment for patients and families.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills, prioritizing and completing required tasks and responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements:



  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or obtainable within 5 years from date of hire.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association required. Additional certifications may be required based on the assigned department or unit.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred. No experience supervising.
