Maintenance Technician Job Description

3M is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Little Rock. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and components, as well as adjusting and maintaining mechanical equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and components, including bearings, bushings, gear boxes, pump seals, clutches, brakes, drive components, valves, motors, and couplings.
  • Adjust and maintain mechanical equipment and systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and equipment, variable speed power transmission systems, conveyors, spraying systems, and extruders.
  • Troubleshoot control valves, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and pumps.
  • Perform welding on structures.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and perform duties safely.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a two-year technical diploma/degree or higher in a Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Maintenance discipline from an accredited institution, or possess a minimum of three years' maintenance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Five years of experience in manufacturing, equipment installation, and troubleshooting maintenance support.
  • Direct proven skill level in working with original equipment manuals, prints, drawings, and charts.
  • Knowledge and skills of mechanical concepts needed to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and electrical devices.
