We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanics to join our team in Pulaski County. As a Mechanical Repair Technician - Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our County vehicles and heavy equipment.

Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong understanding of internal combustion diesel and gasoline-fueled engines, as well as related mechanical systems. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and diagnose mechanical problems and malfunctions of engines, including vehicles and heavy equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical systems and computerized systems.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational-technical course in Automotive Mechanics preferred.
  • Considerable knowledge of internal combustion diesel and gasoline-fueled engines and related mechanical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds and work in cramped spaces.
  • Valid Arkansas Driver's License required.
