Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Disk Laser Hardware Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Vital Chemicals USA LLC in Fremont, California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the manufacturing of disk lasers
  • Develop, plan, execute, and report manufacturing processes
  • Interface with customers to establish product specifications, quality, and execution plans
  • Develop new methods and protocols to accelerate product and component failure modes
  • Track and correct failures for products in the NPI process and in normal production
  • Ensure automated data collection and control of instruments, reporting data and analysis
  • Publish results to the business unit

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in a technical field with 15+ years of related experience

Skills:

  • Continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of thin-disk lasers, YAG lasers, lasers for material processing, high-power lasers, pulsed lasers, and ultrafast lasers
  • Ability to drive a team and work across international groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • General understanding of optics, fiber optics, electronics, mechanical engineering, and chemistry
  • Experience with automated data collection
  • Excellent communication skills
