Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Field Service Technician to become a part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of industrial production and processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

The Field Service Technician will focus on the maintenance, service, and troubleshooting of access control systems and IP-based video surveillance technologies. This includes, but is not limited to, electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording systems, as well as wired and wireless communication systems.

  • Travel to client locations to perform service, repairs, and diagnostics on access control and video security systems.
  • Diagnose installation issues effectively, ensuring compliance with installation standards and building codes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for tracking service-related matters.
  • Exhibit proficiency in the safe operation of hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment for CCTV systems.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and CAD drawings for low voltage applications.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide remote diagnostic support via phone and online platforms.
  • Utilize a company vehicle to travel to client sites for service tasks.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI is preferred.
  • Possession of relevant state licensing or the ability to obtain it post-hire.
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems and IT network structures.
  • A proactive individual who embodies the core values of TEKsystems.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to participate in scheduled on-call duties for emergency service requests.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights of up to 16 feet.
