Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Support teaching staff in providing individualized and group-based instruction, adhering to each student's IEP goals and objectives.
  • Implement classroom routines, schedules, and behavior support plans, including SCM protocols and intervention procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including cleaning and sanitizing areas.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings, trainings, and work hours, adhering to attendance and tardiness policies.
  • Foster a cooperative working climate, promoting productivity and employee morale.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in special education instruction or working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Level 1 Medication Aid certification (obtained within 6 months of employment).
  • Successful completion of the physical fitness POET assessment prior to commencement of the position.
