About the Role

As a Mobile Engineer at CBRE, you will be responsible for performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, building systems, and equipment. You will work under limited supervision, applying advanced skills to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC/R. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance
  • Review and complete work orders, estimating time and materials needed to complete repairs
  • Lead troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC/R
  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws
  • Inspect building systems to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client
  • Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors
  • Maintain building lighting systems, including element and ballast repairs or replacements
  • Maintain grounds of facilities or properties, performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, or snow removal
  • Perform furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or trade school training
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks
  • Possess necessary skills to functionally operate a full-size van/truck
  • Licensure as required by Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
  • Universal CFC certification required
  • Excellent social skills, including oral and written communications
  • Uses computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, and training
