Objective: This role serves as an IT Support Specialist within a streamlined IT department, catering to a rapidly expanding organization that operates entirely on software as a service (SaaS) platforms. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a solid grasp of business processes, proficient in MS Excel, and experienced in configuring reporting and business applications. Additionally, the candidate will possess a diverse set of fundamental IT skills to effectively function as a front-line support resource. They will be adept at independently researching and resolving a variety of basic PC and small office networking challenges, while also managing external support services when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front-Line Support for Employees
- Assess employee inquiries regarding user, application, or network/hardware issues.
- Determine when to resolve issues directly or escalate to the appropriate support vendor.
- Maintenance of Windows, Networks, and PCs
- Diagnose and resolve PC and minor network problems.
- Set up and configure PCs for new employees.
- Document processes and procedures.
- Telephony Management
- Establish and troubleshoot hosted IP phone systems.
- Business Analysis
- Configure Jet Reports and MS Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Manage MS Dynamics CRM reporting and limited application configurations.
- Set up BP Logix Process Director workflows, timelines, forms, and reporting.
- Quickly develop and implement solutions following Agile methodologies.
- Critically analyze information from various sources, resolve discrepancies, and synthesize findings into clear documentation.
- Assess current business processes and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancement.
- Create business intelligence reports to support key performance indicators (KPIs), performance, and profitability.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven ability to independently research and resolve issues.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, including basic functions and pivot tables; VBA skills are advantageous.
- Experience in troubleshooting basic network and PC issues.
- Understanding of creating and adhering to business process flows.
- Experience configuring two or more of the following applications:
- Jet Reports
- MS Power BI
- MS Dynamics CRM
- BP Logix Process Director
- MS Business Central
Education: A BA/BS Degree in business analysis, finance, or information technology, with 2-4 years of relevant analyst/IT experience, or a BA/BS in another field with 4-6 years of pertinent experience in application configuration and reporting.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit and use hands/fingers to operate a keyboard. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands.
- Vision requirements include close vision.
- Typical office environment, usually quiet, requiring the operation of a personal computer, photocopier, fax machine, calculator, telephone, etc.
