About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electronics Engineer to join our team of innovative engineers focused on developing cutting-edge technology for our capital equipment products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex electronic systems, including board-level digital circuit design, analog circuit design, power subsystem design, and firmware development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and test electronic systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Guide the team through design evaluations and engineering tradeoffs to optimize functional performance, reliability, and product cost.
  • Analyze equipment to establish operating criteria by conducting experimental tests and evaluating the results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, and 10 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in development and debugging of electronics.
  • 10+ years of broad electrical engineering design experience, including PCBA design, layout, FPGA, EMC, and thermal modeling.
  • 8+ years of experience with digital and mixed signal PCB design.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex systems with a team.
  • A proven history of technical design success and a methodology of achieving it.
  • Ability to work on problems of difficult scope where success requires analysis of data and judgment on the generation of additional unprovided inputs.

  • FPGA Firmware
  • Analog design and modeling (SPICE post college)
  • RF design and modeling
  • Thermal modeling beyond case-junction temperature
  • Panel Design or Box Build experience
  • Lab equipment experience (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
