Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our adolescent male patients who are experiencing complex emotional, behavioral, and educational difficulties.

About Liberty Point

Liberty Point is a 42-bed facility located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, providing trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment to adolescent males. Our team is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment that prioritizes patient care and values the nursing profession.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support to adolescent males with complex emotional, behavioral, and educational difficulties
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to medical staff
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Virginia (or eligible to receive or renew)
  • Current CPR or BLS certification (can renew as part of New Employee Orientation)
  • Ability to successfully complete and pass all components of Handle With Care & Verbal De-escalation Crisis Intervention Training
  • Ability to use and supervise Handle With Care (HWC) techniques
  • Reflect behavior, attitude, and appearance appropriate to the position and be supportive of the facility and division philosophy, goals, and objectives
