Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the guidance of a supervising Physical Therapist to develop and implement comprehensive treatment programs for patients. Your responsibilities will include acquiring pertinent information, implementing treatment activities, reviewing and modifying treatment plans as needed, and collaborating with support personnel to ensure seamless care.
Responsibilities
• Acquires pertinent information and implements comprehensive treatment programs using varied techniques and treatment activities
• Reviews and modifies treatment plans in response to changing patient needs
• Identifies equipment and discharge needs
• Assists patients in preparation for treatment/modality as necessary
• Provides treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and completes supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act
• Communicates and collaborates with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Applies physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed Physical Therapist, progressing patients in an appropriate manner when deemed necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Previous experience in patient care preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification
