Job Summary:We are seeking a proactive and experienced on-site Print Shop Manager who has experience within a printing industry, who can become an integral member of the team.
*Printing Experience and Large Format Printing is Required*
- Partner with shop and remote leadership to provide administrative and managerial support for the designated shop
- Assist Shop Manager in organizing the shop workforce during regular hours or in an extra hours situation
- Monitor jobs in production and communicate with production and graphics specialists any special instructions, proofs, and shipping info
- Contact clients with questions on specifications and/or questions regarding print job submitted
- Ensure all project deadlines are met and associated cost budgets are adhered to
- Train shop staff on proper production procedures and techniques
- Ensure that equipment is being properly maintained and upgraded. Recommend new acquisitions that will increase productivity
- Manage inventory and organization of supplies
- Resolve all customer escalations in a professional manner
- Fill in for various departments as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 – 5 years experience in a related field
- Experience with Grand Large Format Printing
- Strong leadership ability to motivate employees
- Superior customer service ability and experience in working with customers both over the phone and in person
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees when delegating work and explaining procedures and processes
- Expert knowledge of equipment and materials
- Ability to speak knowledgeably about department capability and company to potential and existing clients
- Highly developed organizational ability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus
