Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Review patient care documentation, identifying any significant changes in patient condition and reporting to registered nurses or physicians.
  • Provide a range of clerical tasks, including organizing workload, greeting visitors, researching information, and maintaining medical records.
  • Perform routine quality assurance audits, safety checks, and inventory of supplies to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Measure and record vital signs, patient height, and weight, and may be responsible for specimen collection, skin preps/scrubs, catheter care, and other patient care activities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Requires six (6) months of clerical or customer service experience
  • Must be fluent in verbal and written English language
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 36 hours per week. The salary range is $24.63 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity.
