  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, Elastic Container Service)
  • Expertise in Cloud/PaaS environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Solid understanding of continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Experience in UNIX/Linux administration, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security
  • At least 5 years in technical operations or systems reliability engineering
  • Equivalent experience in technical operations or software engineering
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years managing complex, large-scale enterprise applications or websites
  • Ideally 5+ years in the same area
  • Familiarity with distributed data platforms
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or similar environments
  • Background in Agile development methodologies
  • Proven experience in high-capacity, mission-critical web serving environments
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, team-building, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of F5 load balancing is a plus
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux and some Windows servers, including system installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security
  • Expertise in web servers (IIS, Apache) and Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, etc.), covering installation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security
