Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Cardiovascular Services Director, Manager and CV Prep and Recovery Supervisor, the RN provides direct patient care to the adult patient population. This includes preparing patients for and recovering patients after cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures performed in the CV Lab. The RN will administer medications, perform procedural documentation, and monitor patients undergoing cardiac stress tests, tilt table tests, and cardioversions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to adult patients undergoing cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
  • Prepare patients for and recover patients after procedures
  • Administer medications and perform procedural documentation
  • Monitor patients undergoing cardiac stress tests, tilt table tests, and cardioversions
  • Communicate with physicians and patient families as needed
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state of Missouri RN licensure required
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required and maintained
  • Prior medical-surgical experience preferred
