Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Care Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph Medical Center. As a Cardiac Care Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care to individuals with heart conditions, cardiac issues, and associated illnesses. Your expertise and dedication will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients' cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect any changes or abnormalities
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management medications
• Perform assessments of patients' cardiac status, including physical assessments, review medical histories, and evaluate symptoms
• Provide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices
• React promptly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, cardiac arrests, or respiratory distress, necessitating immediate implementation of emergency procedures, administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and aiding in defibrillation and other crucial life-saving measures

Qualifications:

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
