About the Job: Murfreesboro City Schools is seeking a dedicated and skilled School Garden Assistant to join our team. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Farm to School Program.

Job Summary: As a School Garden Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Farm to School Program. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with farm-to-school classes and activities, maintaining gardens, greenhouses, and irrigation systems, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; preferably in horticulture, agriculture, education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with children, gardening, and food systems a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices and physical demands of the job.
