Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain precise financial records for both commercial and residential properties.
- Oversee month-end closing processes and produce monthly and annual financial statements.
- Prepare year-end financial documentation for auditing purposes.
- Assist in the development of operating budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Execute year-end journal entries as directed by accounting professionals.
- Manage debt refinancing processes and collaborate with banking representatives.
- Monitor cash flow and account balances for all financial accounts.
- Facilitate outbound wire transfers as necessary.
- Organize annual tax filing reports in compliance with regulations.
- Undertake additional accounting tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting.
- Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Yardi, is essential.
- Advanced understanding of the accounting cycle and proficiency in Excel.
- Strong grasp of financial accounting principles related to property management.
