About the Role

The Property Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of Flow's Real Estate properties. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and compliance within the company's real estate portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 7+ years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with some experience in real estate accounting and analytics.

The Property Controller will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and managing full property accounting month-end close process and support Flow's overall accounting month-end close process from beginning to end
  • Compiling, analyzing, and tracking financial data by performing detailed reviews of monthly property owner reports
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with the company's internal and external property managers
  • Working with auditors for interim and year-end audits
  • Internally owning tax preparation for real estate entities and coordinating with third-party tax advisors
  • Running cash forecast model and monitoring cash flow in partnership with other members of the finance team
  • Assisting in budget preparation and review
  • Understanding and managing payment of loans and loan compliance
  • Overseeing retail tenant escalation calculations, including CAM, taxes, and other operating expenses
  • Troubleshooting issues and ensuring internal client requests are handled on time, accurately, and with a focus on customer service
  • Coordinating with property management teams to resolve tenant billing and collection issues

Flow offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $160,000 per year, as well as fully employer-paid benefits, paid time off, and 13 paid holidays.
