Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at New Leaf Builders. As a key member of our Purchasing & Estimating Department, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day activities, serving as the primary point of contact for trade partners, and managing our purchasing software platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trade Partner Communication
    • Research and resolve Purchase Order/Work Order concerns and correction requests in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Process daily Purchase Orders, update master takeoffs, and contract pricing as needed to prevent errors and take preventative measures.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for trade partners regarding Purchase Order questions and resolve conflicting information between plans, POs/WOs, and selections.
  • Master Specifications and Material Takeoffs
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Master Specifications.
    • Create and modify material takeoffs, parts, and request vendor prices as required for base-house, elevations, and structural/design options.
  • Purchasing Software Management
    • Set up and maintain options in MarkSystems, including loading takeoffs and contract pricing, and publishing to sales.
  • ITK Support
    • Set up, train, and serve as the primary trade partner contact for the ITK website, including vendor portal, customer portal, and lender portal.
    • Develop and maintain ITK training manuals and provide support to coworkers and trade partners regarding ITK use.
  • Production Department Support
    • Provide New Leaf Project Managers with support via email and phone regarding contact information and field-initiated vendor changes.
Requirements
  • 1 or more years of related experience in the home building industry.
  • Ability to successfully complete IHMS training within 60 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize projects and manage accordingly.
