Plant Maintenance Manager
Job Summary:
Futures Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and engineering activities for our High-Speed Bakery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the best quality products and meeting scheduled output requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine and prioritize equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure quality and meet production requirements
- Purchase and maintain inventory for repair and maintenance parts, including supplier evaluation and competitive bidding
- Supervise and train maintenance mechanics to accomplish department objectives and work requirements, including training and leadership
- Coordinate with 3rd party vendors on critical systems, including ammonia refrigeration and confined space protocols, and comply with CALOSHA/OSHA requirements
- Advise on equipment modifications and additions to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and performance
- Maintain records of repairs, preventative maintenance, and parts inventory
- Develop and implement advanced productivity programs, such as preventative maintenance and total productive maintenance
- Maintain a safety program, including monthly meetings, training, and discussions on plant-wide safety issues
- Prepare budgets and project cost estimates for financial planning and obtain approval
- Coordinate work of outside contractors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Five or more years in a manufacturing environment
- Three or more years high-speed bakery experience, preferable
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems, control panels, spiral freezers, and food manufacturing
Work Environment:
The Plant Maintenance Manager will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve department objectives.
