About the Role:
">As a Care Specialist in our Adult Services program at PathPoint, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. Our team is dedicated to providing support and guidance to individuals in both facility-based adult day programs, empowering them to live fulfilling lives by developing essential skills and achieving personal milestones.
">Schedule and Compensation:
">We offer a Monday-Friday schedule from 9:00am-4:30pm, with a 37.5-hour workweek. The estimated salary for this role is $24.00 per hour, with bilingual candidates receiving an additional $0.30 per hour. The pay range is $16.50-$25.90, subject to change based on various factors.

- Develop personalized lesson plans and materials for individual needs, leading classes while planning community outings and coordinating recreational activities.">
- Conduct one-on-one training sessions, set goals, monitor progress, and document outcomes.">
- Supervise and coach groups at work and volunteer sites to enhance skills and work behaviors.">
- Implement behavioral support programs, track data, and collaborate on Individual Service Plans and Person-Centered Plans.">
- Ensure attendance, manage supplies, and maintain a safe environment.">
Qualifications:

- Prior experience supporting or instructing individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.">
- You must be comfortable assisting with personal hygiene and other daily living activities.">
- You should possess patience, compassion, and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities and their family members in a positive manner.">
- A valid California driver's license, satisfactory driving record, 5 years of driving experience, and eligibility for coverage on PathPoint's auto insurance policy are required.">
- Culturally aware, acknowledges diverse employee backgrounds, and possesses skills to collaborate across cultures.">
- A high school diploma or GED is required.">
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.">
