Job Overview

TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is looking for a dedicated Material Review Board (MRB) Specialist to become a vital part of our team.

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager, the MRB Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing, coordinating, and enhancing the systemic processes that optimize the MRB workflow.

Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to this role, and additional tasks may be assigned as necessary:

  • Facilitate the identification, processing, and communication of nonconforming materials and related MRB activities to minimize disruptions to production timelines and ensure material support throughout the organization.
  • Execute material movement transactions within the ERP system to accurately identify and track suspect or nonconforming materials.
  • Conduct thorough stockroom and warehouse inspections to ensure effective containment of suspect or nonconforming materials.
  • Organize MRB review meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolutions and decisions regarding material.
  • Maintain and monitor MRB data within spreadsheets and databases, tracking action items and deadlines, while collaborating with teams to ensure commitments are met with high-quality standards.
  • Assist manufacturing operations through quality analysis and data evaluation, contributing to containment strategies.
  • Analyze and identify root causes of scrap materials, working alongside manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement systemic improvements that reduce nonconformances.
  • Manage temporary deviation requests to facilitate the use of alternative materials and processes to satisfy production needs.
  • Support various quality assurance initiatives as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 2 - 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Effective Time Management and Organizational skills.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Ability to Multitask.
  • Excellent Communication, Customer Service, and Training skills.
  • Proficient Analytical Skills.
  • Experience with Technical Documentation.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and Database Software.
  • Physical capability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Troubleshooting, Debugging, and Testing.
  • Knowledge of ERP Software (e.g., Visibility).

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
