About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manufacturing Director to lead our manufacturing operations at our Nathan Lane facility in Plymouth, Minnesota. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business performance through the alignment of people, strategy, and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all phases of manufacturing and technical functions to advance existing technology and produce high-quality products.
  • Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive operations strategies to ensure the success of the organization and accountability for safety, quality, production, cost, and people.
  • Plan and administer budgets, including making budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
  • Implement cost reduction, waste reduction, quality improvement, and productivity improvement programs to ensure attainment of key performance metrics and sustainable performance improvements.
  • Represent Medtronic in the community and in professional organizations at a local or regional level.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience with 10 years of managerial experience.
  • Degree in Engineering or Technical Sciences.
  • Medical Device Manufacturing experience.
  • Breadth of background across numerous roles/functions within Manufacturing and Supply Chain with demonstrated success in each area.
  • DMAIC Lean / Six Sigma Certification.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a high-performance continuous improvement environment.
  • Plant manager experience in a large manufacturing facility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully execute a strategy.
  • Proven track record of building organizational capability and talent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Experience in leading large-scale change management.
