We are seeking motivated and dynamic professionals to become part of our team at Quantum Pain and Orthopedic - North San Antonio as a full-time, Advanced Practice Nurse. In this role, you will serve as a clinical provider, dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the health of patients requiring acute care. The Advanced Practice Nurse exemplifies compassionate, patient-centered care while working closely with the inter-professional healthcare team. Your primary focus will be to educate patients on preventive care, prescribed treatments, and therapeutic options.

**$20K Sign-On Bonus Available**

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive medical services to patients, performing all necessary functions to provide care under physician guidance.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments (initial, ongoing, discharge), identify normal and abnormal health characteristics, develop care plans, initiate appropriate interventions, and evaluate outcomes for defined patient populations.
  • Execute delegated tasks under physician supervision, including differential diagnosis, prescriptive authority, and treatment in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. Accept accountability for healthcare outcomes.
  • Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to operate autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to manage and coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Document accurate consultation data in patient records.
  • Ensure timely charting in the patient's medical record, completed on the same day as the patient visit.
  • Initiate necessary diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings and reports.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, and individualized patient care.
  • Contribute to the practice's quality targets to maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the practice.
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures; ensure completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines for appropriate clinical processing and documentation.
  • Manage patient appointments efficiently, maintaining reasonable timeliness throughout the day, barring exceptional circumstances.
  • Maintain current licensure and credentials, staying updated in practice.
  • Respond to requests for information, including sending faxes and emails.
  • Report statistics as required.
  • Safeguard patient and family privacy rights, maintaining confidentiality of patient records in accordance with policy and HIPAA regulations.
  • Follow all safety protocols on the job, promptly reporting accidents and addressing minor safety hazards. Communicate with peers and management regarding any identified workplace hazards.
  • Travel as necessary to other facilities.
  • Perform additional job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Possess prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Master's degree in nursing.
