">Responsibilities
  • Patient Care Planning:

    • Care Planning: Develop personalized care plans for patients with mental health needs.
    • Progress Monitoring: Regularly review patient progress and make adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  • Emergency Response:

    • Emergency Response: Respond quickly to psychiatric emergencies, using de-escalation techniques to ensure patient and staff safety.
    • Crisis Management: Collaborate with the crisis response team as required.
  • Communication and Support:

    • Communication: Foster strong relationships with patients to promote open communication.
    • Support Services: Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
    • Group Programs: Organize group therapy sessions or educational workshops on mental health topics, as applicable.
  • Collaborative Practice:

    • Teamwork: Work effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
    • Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights and needs.
    • Transition Planning: Support patients in transitioning to community-based care or outpatient services.
  • Quality and Safety:

    • Safe Care Environments: Implement protocols for high-risk patients, adhering to guidelines for suicide prevention and restraint use.
    • Documentation: Accurately document patient care, meeting legal and ethical standards.
    • Professional Development: Maintain expertise in psychiatric nursing and stay informed about relevant laws and regulations.
