Job Summary

As an Activities Coordinator at the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our patients/residents by providing engaging and meaningful activities. Your creativity and resourcefulness will shine as you design and implement activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement monthly activity calendars that promote socialization, recreation, and personal growth
  • Collaborate with patients/residents to understand their preferences and interests, and tailor activities accordingly
  • Administer activities that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being
  • Assist with simple nursing procedures and transportation of patients/residents
  • Document activities and patient/resident progress in accordance with established protocols

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in social services or creative activities preferred
  • Knowledge of working with diverse resident demographics
  • Preferred current Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) certification or currently enrolled as a student in a healthcare-related program
