Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditory Care Specialist to join our team at VA Ear Nose Throat Associates. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Audiology and be licensed in Virginia as an Audiologist and Hearing Aid Specialist.

About the Role

The Auditory Care Specialist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic testing, including hearing tests, tympanometry, and auditory brainstem response testing. They will also provide electrophysiologic testing, such as otoacoustic emissions and electrocochleography. Additionally, they will fit and maintain hearing aids, and provide vestibular testing using Electronystagmography (ENG).

Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic audiologic testing for patients of all ages, including hearing tests, tympanometry, and auditory brainstem response testing.
  • Provide electrophysiologic testing, including otoacoustic emissions and electrocochleography.
  • Fitting and maintenance of hearing aids, including real ear measurement system verification.
  • Perform vestibular testing using Electronystagmography (ENG) and Dix-Hallpike assessment.
  • Assist with marketing activities and audiologic rehabilitation classes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Audiology or equivalent.
  • Virginia state licensure in Audiology and Hearing Aid Specialists.
  • Board certification or CCC-A preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Working Conditions
  • Combination of office and exam/procedure room settings.
  • Well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space.
  • Some exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a medical office setting.
Estimated Salary Range:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
