Job Overview

Position Summary:

Pactiv Evergreen, a prominent name in the manufacturing sector, is on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Electrical Systems Technician to enhance our Maintenance Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our industrial machinery and equipment.

Compensation: Starting at $32.62 per hour, with an additional $0.35 per hour for night shifts.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays, on the night shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, including a 60-day training period on the first shift from 7 AM to 3 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully complete the Electrical skill assessment-RAMSAY.
  • Utilize computer systems to monitor job statuses and necessary electrical repairs.
  • Conduct inspections of electrical failures using testing instruments, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and electrical circuits.
  • Assist with mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Fabricate and weld brackets using hand tools.
  • Connect power supply wires to machinery and equipment, adhering to manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Diagnose issues in malfunctioning equipment, such as motors and lighting fixtures, using test equipment.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery and collaborate with fellow maintenance staff to resolve issues.
  • Employ a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools and testing devices.
  • Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety codes.
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine wiring locations and ensure safety compliance.
  • Identify and rectify breakdown causes using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Work from heights to install and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
  • Advise management on potential hazards related to equipment operation.
  • Maintain current electrician certification to comply with regulations.
  • Install and repair electrical systems and components of industrial machinery.
  • New hires will be required to sign a repayment agreement for a 24-month period.
