Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, selecting, and sizing HVAC systems, as well as performing load calculations and ensuring compliance with energy efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Familiarity with different HVAC system types and their applications
  • Design and selection of HVAC systems, including ductwork and piping
  • Experience with Mechanical Codes and Energy Efficiency Standards
  • Engineering experience with energy efficiency, including developing or supporting performance-based projects or energy services
  • Performing Heating, Cooling Load Calculations, and Title 24 Compliance calculations using Energy-Pro programs
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and write technical proposals and reports
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in HVAC Design
  • Experience in the mechanical construction industry is a plus
  • EIT is highly preferred, and a PE is a plus
  • Knowledge of OSHPD codes is a plus
  • Independent decision-making is required
  • Computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP or Revit is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
