Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facilities Engineer - Robotics/Automation to join our team at GE Appliances, a Haier company. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage technical aspects of assigned areas, serving as primary point of contact for technical changes to Plant Operations & Leadership.
  • Design, simulate, install, and monitor automation processes to ensure highest standards of efficiency and safety.
  • Develop and direct robust Preventive Maintenance plans, leveraging expertise in root cause analysis, PLC programming, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to maintenance team and other staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Drive process reliability through simplification, preventive maintenance, and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Uphold safety standards through Lock Out-Tag Out procedures and other safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proven Mechanical and Electrical/PLC Diagnostic and technical skills required.
  • Proven PLC Controls/Electrical troubleshooting a must.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in programming and software development, specifically experience in programming robotic systems and writing PLC codes.
  • Previous supervisory experience and/or experience working directly with high volume manufacturing Production Operations and Union Operators.
  • Ability to implement long-term plans into day-to-day operations.
  • Proven shop floor troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through coaching, training, and positive influencing.
