We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Invasive Lab Specialist IV to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a key member of our cardiovascular services department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of technical skills during cardiovascular, electrophysiology, or interventional radiology procedures to provide efficient, comfortable, and safe examinations for patients.
- Be proficient in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures, and processes of the cardiovascular services department and hospital administration.
- Adhere to guidelines and standards of professional practice associations and actively participate in outstanding customer service.
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately, and perform hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care.
- Verify orders and facilitate implementation, communicating with physicians as needed, and perform treatments and administer medications according to policy and training.
- Produce an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
- Perform effectively in all three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team or electrophysiology laboratory based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice.
- Proficient in all cardiac and vascular procedures allowed in an AHCA Level II Adult Cardiovascular Services license facility.
- Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds within 30 minutes for adult cardiac procedures and within 45 minutes for pediatric cardiac procedures.
- Learns and upgrades skills, supervises other healthcare team members in the clinical setting, and utilizes knowledge base to assist with orientation, training, and education of new personnel.
