About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Invasive Lab Specialist IV to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a key member of our cardiovascular services team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical skills during various cardiovascular, electrophysiology, or interventional radiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures, and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration.
  • Adhere to guidelines and standards of professional practice associations and actively participate in outstanding customer service.
  • Identify and prepare patients using aseptic technique as dictated by procedure ordered, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and safety regulations.
  • Verify orders and facilitate implementation, communicating with physicians as needed, and perform treatments and administer medications according to policy and training.
  • Function effectively in clinical emergencies and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and medications.
  • Produce an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
  • Perform effectively in all three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team or electrophysiology laboratory, and proficiently perform all cardiac and vascular procedures allowed in an AHCA Level II Adult Cardiovascular Services license facility.
Requirements
  • Follows CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately uses PPE, and performs hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care.
  • Verifies orders and facilitates implementation, communicating with physician as needed.
  • Performs treatments and administers medications according to policy and training.
  • Functions effectively in clinical emergencies.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications.
  • Produces an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
