Position Summary:
The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet established quality standards. This position involves rigorous monitoring and assessment of product specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety protocols relevant to the role.
- Collaborate effectively with production personnel and maintain a general understanding of all operational processes.
- Engage with customers and suppliers as necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and understanding testing methodologies.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly to meet product requirements.
- Support production staff in enforcing compliance with production policies, including verifying metal sizes, conducting raw material inspections, and ensuring accurate labeling and packaging.
- Conduct tests on paint characteristics, including viscosity and temperature, and confirm correct application methods.
- Interpret and validate supplier Product Specification Sheets.
- Prepare Lab Data Sheets and necessary documentation for production runs, and organize orders for subsequent shifts.
- Accurately obtain, test, and label painted samples for various properties such as color, gloss, hardness, and adhesion.
Qualifications:
- Strong reading and writing skills.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to comprehend measurements.
- Comfortable using calculators and computers for data entry and retrieval.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including overtime and weekends.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a production environment is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years of quality assurance experience, ideally in the steel, coating, or manufacturing sectors.
